University Farm Ltd., Kolíňany
University Farm Ltd., Kolíňany is a modern agricultural enterprise with efficient crop and livestock production. Its sole shareholder and owner is the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA). It creates conditions for practical teaching of students, verification of the results of scientific and research activities of employees and professional practice. It manages an area of 1 938,77 ha. In crop production, it focuses on the cultivation of dense-seeded cereals, maize, sugar beet, oilseed rape, mustard, poppy, oilseed pumpkin without husk and fodder crops. In livestock production, it specialises in dairy cows, young cattle, calves, breeding pigs, sheep and goats. There are also sample farms for breeding horses, poultry, small game and fish.
Guesthouse Oponice
The guesthouse is located in the historically famous village of Oponice in the Topoľčany district. Accommodation is in double and triple rooms with a total capacity of 16 beds. The guesthouse has a detached stylish lounge with a fireplace and a terrace in a garden setting. There is a 16th-century Renaissance manor house with an English park and a historic library. The surrounding area offers less demanding hiking or cycling in the Tríbeč Mountains with the possibility of visiting the ruins of the 13th-century Oponice Castle.
